About ASEAN

ASEANとは、東南アジア諸国連合の事で、東南アジア10か国の経済・社会・政治・安全保障・文化に関する地域協力機構です。本部所在地はインドネシアの首都ジャカルタにあり、1961年にタイ、フィリピン、マラヤ連邦（現マレーシア）の3か国が結成した東南アジア連合（Association of Southeast Asia, ASA）が前身です、タイのバンコクでASAを発展的に解消する形で現在の東南アジア諸国連合が設立されました。

AEASN諸国から日本への輸出促進

Promotion of exports from ASEAN to Japan

ASEAN諸国産の商品や素材の価値を高め、日本市場に紹介するため、商品開発や生産管理能力等の工場を促す人材育成事業を、専門家と協力して実施しています。また、ASEAN各国の輸出促進に重要な産業分野や貿易形態について、政策提言を念頭に調査・分析しています。その他、貿易関連のイベント情報や企業情報も提供しています。

In order to increase the value of products and materials produced in the ASEAN Member State and support their marketing in Japan, the Centre implements capacity building programs on product development and management in cooperation with trade experts. Further, aiming at providing policy analysis on various in dustries and new forms of trade that are important for export promotion.

日本とASEAN諸国間の投資促進

Acceleration of investment flows between ASEAN and Japan

ASEAN各国の投資環境や優遇措置に加え、ASEAN全体及びサブ地域の経済やASEAN諸国でのビジネスにおける注目トピックスについて、説明会の実施、ホームページ、並びに出版物の発行を通し、情報提供をしています。また、ASEAN諸国と日本の政府関係者及びビジネス関係者が、各国の投資政策改善を模索するための対話の機会を提供しています。

In addition to investment climate, policies and incen-tives of the ASEAN Member States, the Centre provides information on the ASEAN Economic Community, economies of the sub-regions and other important topics drawing business persons’ attention through its events, website and publications. It also provides opportunities of bilateral investoment policy dialogues between the ASEAN Members States and Japan aimed at government officials and business persons.

日本とASEAN諸国間の観光促進及び人物交流の拡充

Vitalization of tourist traffic and expantion of personal exchanges between ASEAN and Japan

ASEAN諸国の観光従事者向けの人材育成事業を、接続可能な観光開発をテーマに実施しています。また、観光イベントへの出展やASEAN諸国間で増加する人の往来を背景に、双方の人の交流を更に深化させるため、様々なレベルでの交流の機会を提供しています。

Under the theme of sustainable tourism development, the Centre implements capacity building programs for tourism stakeholders of the ASEAN Member State. It also participates in tourism events and organizes seminars to promote ASEAN and its member states as attractive travel destination. Moreover, the Centre conducts exchange programs to foster mutual understanding between people of the ASEAN region and Japan at various levels.
